Dolly is a great talent but she got carried away with the plastic surgery about ten years ago. I don't follow her and I hardly follow country music but Dolly pops up on tv all the time in movies and interviews and ads. I do live fairly close to Dollywood so they run a lot of Dollywood ads here in western NC. Can't avoid her.
About ten years she really got her face butchered by some bad plastic surgery. Lately she has gotten that somewhat repaired but she still looks like a freak.
My affection for her vocals is in reference to her hay-day.
Regarding her plastic surgery . . . it's almost as if her and Kenny got a 2-for-1 deal from a hack
