A friend of mine says there is a conspiracy theory that the government had Patton killed and not a jeep wreck.

As I recall the rumors circulated around Patton going to drop the hammer on some high brass over gold that was supposedly stolen by them from European banks that were “liberated” on the way to Berlin and in Berlin.
