I worked up a load for my Sauer Ceratech 8x57 using the Hornady 170gr SST and I wanted to see how it would expand so I conducted a jug test. Test was conducted at 50yds because when I tried it at 100yds the bullet kept exiting my line of jugs and disappearing in the dirt. I didn't find that one, so I moved it back to 50yds. The bullet traveled through 4 jugs and was recovered in the bottom of the 5th jug. I weighed and measured the bullet post recovery. Figured Id share my results incase someone wondered about this particular bullet. Load used was as follows.

Hornady 170gr SST
54grs Winchester 748 ball powder
Remington 9 1/2 large rifle primer
Winchester Brass

Average Velocity is 2728 fps based on a total of 5 shots.

Bullet weighed 101.5gr
Bullet measured .732
