Main gripe is the weight, which is somewhat true, but mainly because of how they’re configured. My Alpine goes 7lbs 4oz with scope, pretty handy. They’re not the best choice for building a flyweight, but neither are some others like M70s, M77s, and 98s. OTOH, that weight brings some good stuff with it; forged steel action, one-piece bolt with simple toolless takedown, and a hinged-floorplate instead of a blind box or plastic DM. Good trade-offs IMO.

+1 on this with the Winchester 70 push feed a close second.
