Men are nearly always blamed by LEOs and charged in "domestic disputes" aka family violence.
Around here it's because many the women make their rounds with the departments. One of the perks of being a LEO. The cheap loose gals like the uniforms I think.
Reminds me of the time when we had a neighbor who had a late night visitor that would tear out on my private road with a very loud car. After being annoyed and awakened repeatedly another neighbor was ready for the midnight visitor. He chased him down the road in his own vehicle and got a plate # and reported it to the police. Turns out our female neighbor, whose husband worked nights, was being visited by an off duty local cop. The midnight visits and burn-outs stopped but the neighbor who got the plate # was lectured about the dangers of chasing after and following vehicles.
