My wife is an RN NP in pediatrics and tells me you cannot say the word afflicted anymore. Or retarded, or Mongoloid. Morbid obesity, Autism and Asperger's, and gender confusion seem to be more normal than normal nowadays. Is it any wonder that things go screwy with all the medication and the lack of constructive work for kids. They obviously feel they are and life is worthless.
