Honestly Pat, I don't think most believe there are many crooked, criminal
cops. I don't.

About Qualified Immunity.

The shooting of the kid where they were saying on TV,
"A split second decision". Like that was total absolution.
People make quick decisions everyday in a car.
Decisions that are common, but occasionally lead to catastrophe.
When they do, the law holds them responsible.

The cops decision, to pull the trigger, is a bit more profound than
deciding to answer the phone or try to pick something up off the floor.


Are you aware that multiple circuit courts have held that qualified immunity
for cops holds up, even if they were aware they were violating certain
constitional rights, and they went ahead!
