Go there during the week you'll have the range to yourself 95% of the time. On the weekend you'll still have it to yourself half the time unless it's the weekend before deer season.
That's why I didn't switch to the other range (which is closer to the city). What you wrote above describes my typical range experience, too, which is in a rural area.
