Ever see/hear a high flow/pressure line slam shut?

The line from a gas trailer to underground tank is 5" and weighs
around 150# full. If you attempt to overfill the tank and the
flaps slam shut, that hose jumps off the ground. If the handle slips
out of your hand as you open or close the valve, the noise will scare
the chit out of anyone nearby.

This is only a 5" line, running on gravity. (Around 200gl/min)
The entire hose length of fuel (weight) has momentum.

Imagine the momentum of a 30" pipeline under pressure.
High flow, and a couple hundred yards between turns.

And some ftard starts slamming valves shut remotely.
A kinds of stuff would blow apart.
Before the fires started.
