I have 4ea former boat-paddle Mark II’s.
As soon as I could afford it, stocks were replaced. And the one that I actually use was bead-blasted to a satin finish. The bead-blast was before Ruger began doing it.
The other 3 are in replacement stocks, and are projects on the back burner. But will definitely have the bead-blast done as well.

No doubt the boat-paddle stocks are tough and unique looking (with or without the fill-in inserts/panels).
But, they are not l.o.p. reduction friendly. Otherwise, I could have lived with the uniqueness. Though the mirror shine of the stainless had to go.

Ruger wood stocks are awesome but that paddle stock is plain ugly !
