When I was working with the Milwaukee PD Firearms Training Unit a number of years ago one of the FTU instructors (who had BTDT) said, "We are training you today how to come out on top in an Officer Involved Shooting. You never, ever want to be involved in a gunfight." I've been using that
in my classes ever since.
