You may want to give AA2520 a look. Accurate powders data shows AA2520 in 30-06 with 150 grain results in the 2960 to 2970 fps range. It is a powder that meters well. I have used in 308 win and 8x57 Mauser with heavier 180 gain bullets and it gave good results and accuracy. Sorry I don't own a 30-06 rifle, and can't give you any experience there. But I did reload for my buddies pre-64 Win model 70 in 30-06, but my data shows those 30-06 reloads were all done with Varget and H-4895 powders.
