I had some problems with tachycardia and afib a couple of years ago and the electrophysiologist set me up for the procedure. They did all the steps to induce arrhythmia and at one point I was lucid enough to hear him say, “I don’t see enough here to justify any cauterization.” He did implant a tiny cardiac monitor that periodically sends electrocardiograms to his office.

He did double my metoprolol and that seems to have done the trick for me.
