Heard a Navy commentator say that by the time we launch our new submarines, they could be obsolete because detection technology will have advanced to the point where Subs no longer have stealth.....so what use is a submarine that cannot avoid detection?
I doubt it. Technology, both offensive and defensive, is constantly evolving. If they were going to be obsolete, nobody would be still building them, yet all the major powers are still cranking them out.
