We know an older 70+ couple who are about as paranoid as that described by the OP. Scarcely ever been out of the house except for groceries in last 18 months. They get home with the groceries and wipe down every article with sanitizing wipes before taking it in the house.

The sanitizing wipes are anti-bacterial......this is a virus we are dealing with.
