Looked at one recently. Just such a heavy gun for a petite little shell. They must be made on the same size receiver as the bigger shells. Nicely made gun, just heavy. I think a Browning/Winchester Model 12, Ithaca 28, or a 870 would be a better choice in 28 gauge. Something built down to scale. Little more lean.
