I prefer the recoil/inertia guns. When I had to replace a Browning Twelvette with something more steel shot friendly, but in keeping with the style, I went with the Benelli Ultralight. My son uses an M2. We have a need for a compact shotgun in the family that will hopefully pass through the hands of a lot of young shooters. The Franchi Affinity Compact with the spacers seems to offer a lot of flexibility and I will probably go that route. For more of a one size fits all/permanent compact a Montefeltro would get the nod.
