We have a need for a compact shotgun in the family that will hopefully pass through the hands of a lot of young shooters. The Franchi Affinity Compact with the spacers seems to offer a lot of flexibility and I will probably go that route. For more of a one size fits all/permanent compact a Montefeltro would get the nod.
I lied. I went with the BPS Micro Midas. It's a pump, which I prefer for young shooters, and can use reduced loads without function issues. The Micro Midas also has stock spacers, but starts off a touch long at 13" LOP.
I started out with a single shot twelve with a hammer. Deal with it kiddos.
