Those numbers seem low.
I wonder how they define expansion at those velocities.
Keep in mind those are minimum velocities. Guessing there is minimum expansion. Barnes also recommends that velocity a few hundred fps over those listed is more better.
I was just having this conversation today with someone. I've shot a bunch of deer with the 120gr version in a 7mm-08 and my recommendation is to keep them above 2,200fps at impact. They kill just fine below that and will exit, but blood trails are small or non-existent. Not knocking them, because I still like the performance and I like 2 holes in my deer, just an observation from a sample of about 50.....
