Stands, drives, still hunting and one while spreading manure.
I'm all about learning new tricks – now I have to buy a manure spreader to add to the repertoire.
That's right Scott, just another arrow in the quiver.
It was the Tuesday after the opening, the hired man and I were cleaning a corral floor after shipping out a truckload of fat cattle. He took out the second load of manure and spotted a buck nudging a couple of does at the field edge. Uncased his Remington 7mm mag, climbed out of the tractor cab, loaded two cartridges, took his pliers and banged on the side of the spreader, the buck turned towards him and he pulled the trigger. He showed up at the yard with a nice buck draped over the spreader tongue. The story unfolded and I asked him why he banged on the spreader with the pliers. He replied: "I wanted to sound natural".
