The "rules" will change over time. Queensland has just reopened its borders to other states. Once covid beomes less lethal to the point of being the same as the flu or lesser, there is no justification to not go back to the way it was.
Once alpha was proven not to kill 1-3% of the population, in fact caused less impact in vulnerable countries than diaorhea and diabetes, it should have gone back the way it was.

Mate you need to read Animal farm. It parodies how dictatorships work by convincing folks up is down, rich is poor, safe is risky, sick is well or any other rule they come out with week to week and it all works because the average person goes '' yeah I can sort of see how that would work''. lol
