With barrels and installation being not cheap, and cleaning awful easy why not. Assuming you know how to clean properly.

I've done modified. Clean it well. Shoot one round over chrono after bore sighting, and center scope to that hole.

Then I shoot a few more single shots and mild cleaning.

Then its off to a 5 shot audette test. Clean well. Couple of 3-5 shot groups to center the audette or another 5 shot audette if I have to go up or down more. Cleaning between each group.

Thats all really easy. Doesn't take but a bit more time.

after that its deep clean and DBC or whatever its called these days.

I've shot a few without it in a hurry. They have always fouled a bit more. Not enough to worry about .

And we typically clean around 200 rounds anyway.

But with barrels approaching 400 plus dollars and 200 plus to install them, an hour or extra time while centering the gun up is nothing to us.

We can keep Larry Root and all his idiotic blabber and user names on here, but we can't get Ralph back..... Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, over....
