A $150 bucks for laying hardwood floor is so dirt cheap that you likely won't keep him for a month. Before you know it he will be on his own side jobs and will be gone. I dont do much hardwood floor anymore but I charge $45 hr. for my carpenter work for the company I work for and many times I take off and charge $50 to $55 per hour .
