Our PTO is accrued based upon hours ‘paid’, not worked. So when I’m out west climbing and hiking for two weeks and I’m being paid full time wages out of my PTO bank, I’m still ‘earning’ PTO. Pretty sweet. And the accrual rate increases with time. You start out with zero, and PTO is initially accrued at the rate of 6.77 hours per pay period, which is 80 hours.

You’re correct, as usual. I recall not being penalized for vacation/PTO used and it was based on hours paid. Thanks amigo. 👍
