PaulBarnyard: Enjoy yourselves! Sounds like you may have an "insider" and already know where to fish but in case you don't theres this. My friends and I have fished for King Salmon two different years off of a live aboard fishing vessel. We caught King Salmon to 72 pounds across the way from the town of Kodiak in Marmot Bay of Afognak Island! There was/is a small lumber camp with sheltered tie-up for over nighting there. And we fished right out in front of it. I wish I could remember the name of the huge plugs we were using to catch these monsters - I'll make a phone call and see if I can retrieve that info.
