When I was going through a 284 wildcat phase I did them in 6mm, 25, 6.5mm, 30, 338, 358, and 44. I did them on Remington 722s and Savage 99 C/CDs. Whenever I do a Savage 99 wildcat, I like to do a bolt action rifle for working up loads. A few of those rifles came from the Kittery Trading Post and from Big Al's in Seabrook, NH.
