I think I am going to wait for the recession everyone keeps talking about to really get going and see if they are willing to deal.

I will buy a new truck as a retirement gift to myself, but I have at least another 3 years of full time work. If there were deals to be had, I would be seriously shopping now - would love to have a comfortable truck for our 2-3 trips per year, but simply cannot justify MSRP + sales tax + insurance for a truck to sit in the garage while I work all week.

I drove beaters until I was 45 years old. I have never purchased new. I want to do it just once and order exactly what I want.
