I went back down the Cancer Center today to get my PET scan read by the oncologist.

The main concern, the growth above my left kidney has shrunk. It's probably dead.
There is something in my right lung; it is probably just some inflammation
There is something in my colon; it is probably also not cancerous but will require a colonoscopy this fall to confirm. I was due for a colonoscopy anyway.

Bottom line: the cancer is gone with no promises of return.

I also didn't need anything pumped into my veins today; all the readings were in spec. I'm finally out of the hole that the Chemo dug for me.

First stop: KYHillChick took me to the first bar we could find and had double scotches and burgers for lunch.

I walk away from all this about 40 lbs lighter. I have no stamina, no hair, and no appetite.

Next steps: I see the surgeon on Wednesday, but I suspect he will concur with the oncologist. After that, I'm heading to the farm for the first visit since Turkey Season in April.
