Yes, Stith, Bausch and Lomb and Kuharsky all made those mounts. A scope w/o internal adjustments was far easier to weather proof. A BalVar 8 was a very expensive scope and swapping it between rifles made sense. A ANIB one is still a fine scope today, first focal plane and tapered cross hairs are still a great combination.

Looks clunky but set up and locked down was solid and weather proof. Could be swapped to another Stith mount in a few minutes.
