There was actually a case here in Iowa where a guy disposed of his wife in that manner.
A guy in CT, Richard Crafts, rented a large commercial chipper with a credit card and chipped his dead wife into a river. The authorities found enough body parts to match the missing wife's DNA and send him to prison.
