Glad to hear the new 1895 Marlin-Ruger 45-70 rifles are well made. I have been using a Marlin 45-70 since the early 90's and I carry one here in Alaska more then any other rifle. During hunting season I use a scoped bolt action rifle. But, all other times the 45-70 is carried.

A 400 grain super bonded Alaska Bullet Works bullet is comforting when in Alaska fishing, ATV riding, hiking and camping, etc. I can't see my self never having a Marlin 45-70.
