It seems like the old ones are tougher than the newer offerings. My older ones have never broken, but the newer ones certainly do. They're still the best thing I've found to satisfy the need. Just yesterday in the pouring rain I flipped up the ones on my .416 scope to shoot a buck before he knew what was going on.
