Dunno if it was good or bad but a learning experience. At the time, I had a Ruger M77 in 7x57 I was sighting in. Guy set up next to me had the same rifle, only chambered to the 30-06. He was having a hell of a bad time trying to even get on paper so as I had to wait for my rifle to cool down a bit, it was about 110 in the shade that day so it took a while. I offered to help him out which he accepted. Two rifles, both weighing within ounces of each other and the difference in recoil was definitely noticeable. That was the first time I'd ever shot two rifles of the same make with similar weights to compare recoil between two cartridges. His with factory and mine with very warmish hand loads. I'm sorry I ever sold that 7x57 Ruger. A bit on the heavy side but shot nice groups.

Our forefathers did not politely protest the British. They did not vote them out of office, nor did they impeach the king, march on the capitol or ask permission for their rights. ----------------They just shot them.
