Sounds good and I agree the 6mms in the neck or shoulder are DRT.
But let's say you get surprised and the best buck of your life is going flat out away from you, tic tock hes 300 yards out, and there you are with the 6mm in your hands.....

I would need my ass kicked for shooting at a flat out running deer 300 yards straight away.
That deer flat out going away is not nearly as "straight away" as you think, especially at 300.
I must have missed the part where he was having issues with straight away shots on these deer. They are degradation tags and I am betting he has all of the time in the world to pull this shot off.
Possibly even some off of the truck mirror or over the hood of the truck. Not saying that is the case, just a guess.
