Never owned a Mossberg, but when I was about 12 I wanted one, a single-shot bolt action .410, in the worst way. Dad said no. My son used them in the Navy some, 500's, and said they always worked well. When I was a kid a friend had a Mossberg .22 auto with the drop-down end on the forearm that I always thought was cool. Back in the '70's another friend had a Mossberg "Chuckster" .22 Mag that was the only other .22 Mag I ever saw that would shoot as well as my Anschutz.
