My only time with 30-06 was I believe about 30yrs ago when I was quite young and only on two critters. It worked well from what I remember. Anyway awhile back I picked one up because I wanted to have my 308win 270win and 30-06 as they're common fare and easy to come by ammo and components. Honestly another influence was JB's info about his 200gr Nosler use in more timbered locations and it's the same region I'm in.
