I've had different rifles that had the habit of rapping my trigger finger. My 375 Whelen AI doesn't do that. I think the wrist has something to do with it, but I could be wrong. Weight or lack of may be the biggest issue.

Two rifles that stand out in my foggy memory: my 350 RM 600 with an aluminum floor plate had that habit until I learned how to hold it. My light weight 45-70 Marlin has that habit too and no matter how I hold it.
