Dick was as solid an individual as I've dealt with. I was a small dealer and both Kelly and Dick went out of their way to help me out. I was shooting the IBS/NBRSA 'HBR' guns actively at the time and called to get another stock coming. A few minutes later, Dick called me and said he had a stock he'd like me to test. A couple days later, a prototype E.D.G.E. stock for the 2.25" fore end HBR guns showed up on my porch. There were three of us that got these and based on our feedback, they went into production...you can still get the same stock today.

Dick helped me with inletting advice and how to get out of trouble. More importantly, he advised me on how to not get into trouble. I had to straighten the fore end out on this E.D.G.E. 'HBR' stock not long ago. I wondered what Dick would say if he saw me whittling on one of his babies but knew he'd understand.
