It was more happy happenstance than anything else. I had heard good things about StaBall 6.5 and my first attempt with it got me near MAX velocity. I knocked down the load a full grain and got 2840 and then tweaked it back up and got great accuracy at 2930. That's still about 100 fps below the stated MAX.

Good deal, and good luck hunting. I haven't looked at the StaBall load data, but I'm surprised they list a max of over 3000fps with 140's.


Here's the StaBall load up next to the Varget I was using previously. I got less than 2700 from the Varget.
