By calling this covenant “new,” [God] has made the first one obsolete; and what is obsolete and outdated will soon disappear (Heb 8:13). This text was written in the first century when most of Jesus’ handpicked apostles were still alive. And a few years later, in the year AD 70, the Temple in Jerusalem was destroyed (just as Jesus predicted).

And from that day until now (for the last 2000 years), it has been impossible for anyone…including ‘real’ Jews themselves…to be truly Torah-observant. The temple is gone, the priesthood is gone, and the sacrifices have ended. Clearly, the old covenant (the Mosaic Law) has become obsolete and has vanished, ‘despite’ the fact that Heaven and earth are still here.
100% spot on, from top to bottom. Well said, my friend. Why is that so complicated for folks?

When you have "the jews are God's chosen people!" absolutely HAMMERED into you all day, every day, and all the "Christian authority" you know of teaches this (relentlessly), it's hard for most people to turn against this lifelong indoctrination.

It is far easier to fool a man than to convince him he's been fooled.
