I'll take the 7mm-08 any day.
Actually I did. My go-to deer rifle is a 7mm-08.
I prefer short actions. The selection of 7mm bullets is better and more varied (and more weight). It is quite accurate, with minimal recoil.
The 25-06 just seems to be "too much" for a 25 caliber bullet. The only 25 caliber cartridge that I ever had a desire for was the 250 Savage. Never did get one, but if forced to buy a 25, it would be what I'd want.
