Scary for everyone Denny. I took a voluntary 10% pay cut this last October. That being said, I also had other job offers but they would require moving or doing work that didn't interest me as much as I do now (agile development).
We make the best of it friend. I live in a place I despise but the work in interesting and makes a difference I have more and more friends that are local like you and Bob and Steve that share interests. Yes, I would rather live in lots of others places but we make do.
