Where you shooting all copper 120 grain bullets? I was going to get some 120 grain ballistic tips also, but just for varmints. I can see those being real messy on a deer at 3500fps! Of course it would probably drop 'em on the spot if you put one behind the shoulder.
My friend shot a deer at about 100yds with my .223/50grn ballistic tip and it went down fast. I was right next to him, he didn't have a rifle and I told him to put it in the ribs right behind the shoulder. I wouldn't recomend it, but it worked. Small hole in, explosion to the vitals, no exit....meat on the table:)
