You have an early new model Super Single Six. KNR6, SN 62-736XX would be 1974. These are pre warning and pre Liberty guns, no warning or Liberty roll mark on the barrel. The 22mag cylinder would have looked exactly like the 22lr cylinder, both were fluted, and the only difference was the breech end. 22lr had a firing pin groove and the 22mag. did not.

The new cylinders didn't appear until SN 65-0XXXX, the 22mag cylinder was unfluted and roll marked the 22lr cylinder was with out firing pin groove.



You can call Ruger 603-363-3300 ask for records, give them the SN and Super Single-Six, they will tell you the ship date, month and year, and if it is a convertible.
