That's a great mod but I don't have what it takes to do it myself. Having the lever on the left side is even an advantage to a right-hander since it's more natural when the thumb wraps over the grip. You'll see this on older Mauser sporters converted to 2-position low safeties. The lever is on the left for a reason.
