Thanks for the detailed info. I kinda expected 2800 fps with 250's would be possible.
I too did some shooting today, .35 WSM using Speer 250 HotCors and RL17 powder (three shot averages per charge):

At 70 grains the brass appeared okay, primers flattened but still a rounded edge, bolt lift normal; doubt I can go very much higher though. I'll try another series at 70.0, 70.5, 71.0, and 71.5 next trip to the range. Overall, the data revealed that my "guess" loads were conservative, which is where I always want to be when exploring.
