I had bought two because my dad had recently retired from the military, and I asked him to take me deer hunting. He replied that he would, but he didn't have a rifle. I had been delivering papers and saving the money, so I jumped on my bike, rode down to the hardware store and told 'em I wanted two M94 Winchesters. After the laughter died down, I convinced him I was for real. He said OK, but an adult would have to sign for them. Mom did, and Dad and I went hunting every year after that until either my military service, or his eventual disability stopped him from being able to go.

I still have both. I bought them 40 years ago this summer.

Great story Vic, and a classic set of rifles too. Hope you can pass them and the story down one day.
