Are their only 4 or 5 bucks that everybody is chasing?
From the sounds of it you think there was. Who can hike in farther, pack out more, climb steeper mountains, shoot the biggest buck, it's just a d!ck measuring contest. I can fill the freezer by using the hood of my truck as a gun rest. Sounds like you guys put in way to much effort.
