JB:Do you recall the rifle and barrel for that load? Not that I doubt it,just that I had to go a good deal heavier than that charge in my 300's (which were M70's) to get that velocity.

Wonder, does the Barnes require lighter charges than, say, the Partitions I was using?


That load is quite a bit lighter than most quoted in loading manuals. I have always gotten right at 3200 with a 165 with between 77 and 79 grains, which is quoted in several manuals.
