Well, I picked the current Sako 85 in 6.5X55 because I wanted a quality, highly accurate, and reasonably lightweight rifle in a light-recoiling caliber whose adequacy on a broad range of game has been proven many thousands of times. But I settled for this:

a Sako 75 in .260Rem, 'cause it was close enough, the ballistics nearly identical, and for the all-weather materials...and the price was right.
